Lip blush aftercare is specific to the lips — and requires slightly different care than brow aftercare.
The First 24 Hours
- Apply provided balm every 1–2 hours
- Keep lips moisturized constantly — dryness cracks scabs
- Drink water through a straw
- Eat with a fork — avoid direct lip-to-food contact
- Expect heavy swelling; ice helps
Day 2–7
- Continue heavy moisturizing
- Gently rinse lips with cool water before meals
- No kissing (partner or pet!)
- No spicy, salty, citrus, or crunchy foods
- No toothpaste on lips (get it on teeth, rinse carefully)
- No makeup on lips
Day 7–14
- Scabs fall off naturally — no picking
- "Ghost phase" begins; color looks lighter than expected
- Continue gentle care
- Limit sun exposure on lips
Weeks 3–6
- True color emerges around week 3
- Final result settles around week 6
- Touch-up session at 6 weeks perfects density and evenness
Long-Term Care
- SPF lip balm daily — the #1 longevity factor
- Limit exfoliating lip scrubs
- Skip harsh chemical peels near lip area
- Return for refreshes every 2–3 years
Red Flags
- Persistent swelling beyond day 5
- Yellow/green discharge
- Severe pain
- Signs of cold sore
Any of these: contact your physician immediately.
